名词定义由黏体虫属（Myxosoma）中的某些种寄生引起的一类鱼类黏孢子虫病。常见的有由脑黏体虫（M. cerebralis）寄生在鱼头骨及脊椎骨软骨组织引起的脑黏体虫病（又称“眩晕病(whirling disease)”）。主要危害鲑科鱼类苗种。脑黏体虫破坏听觉平衡器及交感神经，使鱼追逐自身尾部旋转运动，病鱼长大后有脊椎弯曲、眼后部凹陷、下颌不能闭合等后遗症,由中华黏体虫（M.sinensis)寄生在鲤鱼肠的内外壁上引起的中华黏体虫病，寄生处形成乳白色芝麻状胞囊，影响鱼的生长发育,由时珍黏体虫（M
