名词定义单孢子虫以孢子形式寄生在无脊椎动物（如软体动物、环节动物、节肢动物）和低等脊椎动物（如鱼类）中引起的一类孢子虫病。常见的有鲈肤孢虫（Dermocystidium rercae）寄生在鲈、青鱼、鲢、鳙的鳃上,广东肤孢虫（D. kwangtungensis)寄生在斑鳢的鳃上,野鲤肤孢虫（D. koi)寄生在鲤、镜鲤、青鱼、草鱼的体表,海水肤孢虫（D. marinus)寄生在美洲巨蛎等软体动物内,明钦虫（Minchinia)寄生在牡蛎和养殖海蟹体内，使发育受阻，生长停止。
